Where will you go
Where will Vietnam take you?
From mist-covered mountains to lantern-lit ancient towns, discover the places that make Vietnam unforgettable.
Nine places · three regions
Chapter one
The North
Limestone karsts, the capital's old streets and cool mountain air. Best from October to April.
A thousand years of noise and quiet.
Hanoi wakes early. By six the paths around Hoan Kiem Lake are full of people doing tai chi, badminton and slow laps, and the first pots of pho broth have been simmering for hours.
Chapter two
Central Vietnam
Imperial Hue, lantern-lit Hoi An and the beaches of Da Nang, joined by the Hai Van Pass. Best from February to August.
Chapter three
The South
Saigon's energy, the slow waterways of the Mekong and island time on Phu Quoc. Best from December to April.
Further afield
Vietnam is home. It isn't the only place we go.
Atlas also plan and run tours in other countries — Thailand and China so far — and handle the visa paperwork that goes with them. Same way we work here: a route shaped around how you like to travel, a specialist who lives where you're going, and the same people to talk to while you're away.
