Overview
Doing Cu Chi and the Mekong in a single day means eleven hours and two long drives. Splitting it over two, with a night at an eco-farm or a delta resort, gives both halves room — and adds a cooking class where the rushed version has a motorway.
Day one goes north to the tunnels in the morning, then to an eco-farm to cook and eat lunch, and on down to the delta for the night. Day two is the river: a boat cruise, a coconut candy workshop in Ben Tre, a hand-rowed sampan through the canals, and back to the city.

North out of the city to the Cu Chi tunnels for the documentary, the tunnel sections and the bunkers. Then on to an eco-farm for a hands-on cooking class, with what you make served as lunch. In the afternoon, the drive down into the delta and check-in at a resort or homestay. Dinner there.

Day 2, Mekong Delta and Ben Tre
A boat cruise on the Mekong after breakfast, a coconut candy workshop, and a hand-rowed sampan through the narrow canals. Lunch, then the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Whatever the eco-farm has in the garden that morning, built around bánh xèo and spring rolls. If you are vegetarian or avoid something, tell us at booking and the kitchen will set you up separately.
It is simple and clean rather than luxurious — a delta property with fans or air conditioning and a shared dinner. If you would rather have a hotel standard, say so and we will quote the resort option.
