Terms of Use

This website belongs to Atlas Tours & Travel, a tour operator with walk-in offices in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Our contact details and all three office addresses are on the contact page. Using the site means you accept what is on this page.

Every tour and day trip described here is a programme we actually run. The descriptions, routes and highlights are accurate at the time of writing, but they are a picture of the trip rather than a contract. Things that can reasonably differ on the day include:

• The order the days run in, where weather, tides, traffic or a local closure make a change sensible.
• The specific hotel, boat or restaurant, where one is full or has changed hands — we substitute something of the same standard.
• Guides and drivers, who are assigned closer to departure.
• Anything genuinely outside our control, including weather, flight and ferry schedules, strikes, permit changes and public holidays.

Where a change is significant and we know about it in advance, we tell you before you travel, not after.

You will not find a price anywhere on this site, and that is deliberate. Every Atlas journey is quoted individually, because the cost depends on your dates, how many of you there are, the standard of hotel you want and how the route is put together. Anything you are quoted comes from us directly, in writing.

• Sending an enquiry or filling in the trip planner costs nothing and commits you to nothing. It is a request, not a booking.
• A quote or draft itinerary we send you is an offer we are willing to honour, open for the period stated in it.
• You have a booking only when we confirm it to you in writing and you accept that confirmation.
• The terms of your trip — the price, exactly what is and is not included, when and how you pay, and what happens if you change or cancel — are set out in that written confirmation. Read it: it is the agreement between us, and it differs from trip to trip.

• A passport valid for your trip, and any visa or entry permit you need. We can advise, and we arrange visa paperwork as a service, but the responsibility for having the right documents is yours.
• Travel insurance. We strongly recommend taking it out as soon as you book, covering medical treatment, cancellation and anything active you plan to do. Vietnam is a straightforward place to travel and an easy place to be caught out without cover.
• Telling us about anything that affects what we should book — mobility, allergies, dietary needs, a medical condition, travelling with young children. Tell us early and we plan around it; tell us late and we may not be able to.
• Being where you agreed to be at the time agreed. We cannot hold a boat or a train.

The words, photographs, itineraries and design on this site are ours or are used with permission, and the photographers we have borrowed from are credited on the credits page. Read it, quote it, send it to whoever is coming with you. Do not republish it as your own or use it to sell a competing trip.

We keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will never be down or never contain a mistake. Where it links out to another website, that site is not ours and we are not responsible for what is on it.

What we collect when you enquire, who it passes through and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy policy. The one cookie this site sets is explained in the cookie policy.

Tell us while you are still travelling if you possibly can — almost anything can be fixed on the spot, and almost nothing can be fixed a month later. Your guide, your driver and our office are all reachable throughout your trip. If it is not resolved by the time you get home, write to us at atlastravelvn@gmail.com and we will answer.

These terms, and any trip booked through us, are governed by the law of Vietnam, where we operate and where the trips take place.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your trip is the one in force when we confirmed your booking, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
